Convenience Euthanasia is the act of ending an animal’s life for non-medical reasons.
We are against Convenience Euthanasia and the longevity peach is our symbol for No to Convenience Euthanasia.
The Longevity Peach is a popular pastry in East Asia and among Chinese communities around the world. It is used for birthday celebrations especially for seniors like grandparents and parents. The pastry symbolizes a wish for seniors to enjoy a happy long life. We have used the longevity peach to celebrate our senior cat’s birthdays.
As humans age, preventive health care reduces health risk and improves the quality of life. There are also hospices for end-of-life care to offer comfort care and a dignified departure.
We see animals as fellow sentient beings, so we want animals to have the same healthcare support in terms of preventive health care and palliative care.
As animal rescuers, our job is to understand what an injured or sick animal needs to recover. We do not have the right to end an animal’s life for non-medical reasons. |
